Data Protection

Privacy regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Economic Area and various state-level privacy laws in the United States grant important rights to residents and impact content publishers, application developers, website visitors, and app users. These regulations currently apply to specific regions, but publishers and app developers often implement controls that affect the user experience across all regions.

Orixon Analytics is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality and security of data. It is essential to understand your privacy options, whether you are acting as a publisher or as a consumer. This page provides information about data collection and security for:

  • Content publishers and app developers ("clients") who use Orixon Analytics measurement products.

  • Website visitors and app users ("users"), in relation to websites and apps that use Orixon Analytics products.

Data Collection

To enable Orixon Analytics measurement products, clients implement tags on web pages and an SDK for mobile applications. The measurement data collected allows clients to better understand user needs and, optionally, to personalize the user experience and serve relevant advertising (see the section on Ad Personalization).

The tags and SDK use cookies and app instance IDs, respectively, to measure user interactions. While these identifiers provide insights into user behavior, clients are strictly prohibited from sending personally identifiable information (PII) to Orixon Analytics. In any case, the use of cookies and app IDs is subject to the aforementioned privacy laws. Clients must clearly inform users about what information is being collected and must offer users the ability to provide or withhold consent.
